Versapak Urine Collection Vessel (UCV)

Used for the safe, spill-proof collection of the urine sample, and its transfer into the secure A and B sample bottles, the dual purpose Versapak Urine Collection Vessel (UCV) can also be used to store partial samples.

Key components of UCV

Urine Collection Vessel (x1)

The Urine Collection Vessel is a clear plastic beaker, which is used to collect the urine sample.  A calibration scale indicates the volume that has been obtained.

Once the sample has been collected, the beaker is closed using the push-fit lid.  The beaker is opened using a simple ring-pull, allowing the sample to be transferred into the A and B sample bottles (see the Versapak Urine Sampling Kit DTC2).  A unique code embossed on each Urine Collection Vessel ensures accurate identification of the sample.

Clear plastic bag (x1)

The Urine Collection Vessel (UCV) is supplied in a sealed clear plastic bag.

Clear tamper evident plastic bag (x1)

An additional tamper evident plastic bag is supplied with each Urine Collection Vessel, allowing it to be used as a temporary partial sample storage container. The sample is collected in the Urine Collection Vessel which is then closed using the push-fit lid. This is then sealed inside the tamper evident plastic bag. The unique code embossed onto the Urine Collection Vessel is easily visible through the plastic bag, ensuring accurate identification of partial samples.
