Versapak Security Transport Holdalls and Security Seals

Whether you're transporting urine samples or blood samples to the laboratory, Versapak Doping Control Ltd can provide a user-friendly, tamper evident holdall to facilitate this transport and to help you comply with regulations.

The transportation of blood samples to the laboratory is governed by UN3373 regulation PI650. The Versapak Medical Transport Bag (see below) has been independently tested to comply with PI650.

About the Versapak Security Transport Holdall (CCBX20) for urine samples

These purpose-built courier holdalls hold 20 sealed canisters. Made from heavy duty weatherproof PVC, with easy-grip comfort carry handles and a purpose built foam interior, the Versapak Security Transport Holdall provides a safe and convenient way with which to transport collected urine samples to the laboratory (for blood samples, please see the Versapak Medical Transport Bag below).

An additional level of security is provided by the Versapak tamper evident zip closure which, when sealed with a genuine Versapak button security seal, secures the contents of the bag against tampering.  Bags can be re-locked quickly and easily, over 2,000 times.

Made in blue as standard, other colours can be provided on request, and the holdalls can be overprinted with your organisation or event name.  An internal entry address/identity window allows contents to be identified.

About Versapak’s Medical Transport Bags for PI650 compliance

With built in rigid impact protectors and internal padding, this transport bag has a proven ability to pass a 1.2m drop test as required by PI650. It has the added benefit of Thinsulate insulation to maintain the temperature of the contents for up to 6 hours. Fitted with our tamper evident zip closure, 4 vehicle securing rings, an ‘easy change’ address window system and 3 x A5 windows for site location and bag content, it is printed with UN3373 logo as standard, and can also be printed with your organisation or event name.

How the Holdall’s security system works

Versapak's unique sealing system makes our bags the most user friendly and secure tamper evident bags available.

Once the contents are safely placed in the protective foam layer, the bag is then zipped closed.  The zip puller is positioned into the special locking house, and a new Versapak button seal is placed over the zip puller and pushed until it clicks home.  The contents of the bag are now secure – nobody can open the bag without breaking the seal.

When the holdall arrives at the laboratory, the bag is opened by lifting the zip puller until the seal breaks.  The broken part of the seal falls free, which means it won’t jam and is guaranteed against debris build-up.
